Hi

I am very impressed with the All in One Seo plugin – great job !

I am just going through all my SEO and double checking for accuracy and have been saving up a few SEO questions that I need clarification on for a Woocommerce setup – still in local development – but getting closer to going live ( I have read through a lot of the documentation and the forums but couldnt find this info):

1. Search Results Page – I have this set to noindex, follow. Why does it have a Meta Description and Meta Title taken from the home page ? Is this correct ?
As well the search results page doesnt have a canonical url – is this correct ?

2. In comparison I have Product Tag archive pages set to noindex, follow but they do have a canonical but absolutely no meta description – is this correct ?

3. Product Category pagination – I have checked off noindex for paginated pages/posts as the pages 2’s etc are just a continuation of product listings and since the meta description is the same as the first page, I feel it would be classed as duplicate content. Should I be checking off no pagination for canonical urls as well ? (my old store did not paginate the canonical urls – but that doesnt mean it was correct – the only pages on my site that go to 2 pages are product category pages )

4. I have read if you have noindex, follow on a page, there shouldnt also be a canonical url on the same page – is this correct ?

5. Cart and Checkout pages – I have set these to noindex, follow – is this correct or does it matter ?

6. Meta Titles – I have read in some of your documentation that Google has increased the limit for Meta Titles to 70 characters (up from 60) – but in my All in One SEO settings screens, it is still saying 60 is the limit.

Thanks so much for a great plugin – I am hoping you can give me direction on the above.

Thanks ! – always such speedy replies !

1. I have the search title set to %search% | %blog_title% but it is still bringing back the home page meta title and description. I have relevanssi search plugin on my site, I wonder if that is affecting it. As you say, I have it set to no index, so I guess I wont worry about it.

2. Thanks

3. I have set the Remove Descriptions for paginated pages, but since they now dont have a description, and if I set it so they are indexed – isnt Google going to give me a warning about the meta description being missing ? and would someone want to land on page 2 of a product category (not meaning to sound argumentative, just pondering if this is a good idea…..) Your thoughts ?

4. – k

5. I asked about no index, follow and you answered NOINDEX – do you mean, I should also set the cart and checkout to nofollow ?

6. Thanks
