Hello!

I am implementing a Multisite Wordpress installation, using “WordPress MU Domain Mapping Plugin“.

I have one main domain (www.vulcanet.com.br) and others 38 different domains.

Everything is working perfectly fine.

So, now I am in the stage to setup google Analytics:

Please, I would like to use Google Analyticscross-domain tracking” and “tracking multiple top-level domains” setup in order do not duplicate my statistics and also to have all the Google Analytics reports in one view.

From Google perspective I am all set, BUT, I am in doubt in how to setup it in “All in One SEO Pro Plugin“.

Could you please help me out?

What is the procedure to enable the Google Analytics “cross-domain tracking” and “tracking multiple top-level domains” at  “All in One SEO Pro Plugin” ?

Thanks,

Alcides

Hello! Peter,

Thanks for your answer.

Piratically speaking what you are saying is that:

1st To enable “tracking multiple top-level domains the procedure is:

  • After input the same tracking “ID code” to all sites and enable Universal Analytics.
  • Check the “Track Multiple Domains” option.
  • Under “Tracking Domain” field I just need to type: “auto” without (” “) instead of the domain address.

Question 1: Is it the same setup for the primary domain and all the others multiples top-level domains I have?

2nd To enable “cross-domain tracking the procedure is:

Question 2: What is the procedure?

The reason I am asking that is that I read somewhere at google website that the tracking code for the main domain and the secondaries domains (to enable “cross-domain traking” and “tracking multiple top-level domains“) should be different.

As I am using “All in One SEO Pack Pro”, I do not whant to edit code.

Could you please clarify that for me? This is the first time I am going to setup it and I am a bit confused.

In summary, as I told before, what I have is a wordpress multisite environment with:

  • 1 main top-level domain with more 38 different top-level domains that I whant to track, all of them, using the same google analytics reports.

Thank you very much.

Alcides
