Hello,

I have purchased pro version because it was advertised to support WPML.

I have WP page running WPML for translating pages and posts from English to Croatian. When I create a page or post WPML generates new page/post and links it as a translation of the original (English) page. Each of them has SEO fields for title/description/keywords.

Problem is with the home pages (original and translated) metadata. I enter English and Croatian metadata in each one of them and delete Home title, Home Description and Home Keywords in Home page settings of All in one SEO pro (because I want to use the metadata I entered to pages in different languages). But, when I update AIOSEO general settings it keeps generating this data over and over again. It combines keywords from both languages, uses description and title randomly (e.g. title from Croatian, description from English version).

How can I turn this off? I’d like to use metadata from pages not from AIOSEO settings.

There’s one more issue not related to this: AIOSEO keeps losing my licence key after options update and sometimes it doesn’t remember I turned some option off, when it’s refreshed (updated) the setting remains turned on. Then I turn it off again and maybe from second or third try it remembers it. Very frustrating.

Thank you for your help,

Lidija

P.S. I cannot provide site URL because it is in Maintenance mode right now.

Hi Peter,

1. I’m not sure I understood how it works. Where are those options? How do I translate metadata?

2. Or, maybe you don’t know how WPML works? It does not translate pages using language tags or similar, it creates another WP page or post and links them as a translation of the original page. Therefore, each one of them is a independent page which has it’s own Home Title, Home Description and Home Keywords AIOSEO fields. They are not translated anywhere, I just enter them in the different language.

That is the source of my confusion with AIOSEO General settings, and possibly the source of it’s confusion (i.e. mixing Home title, description and keywords in two languages). To which of those two home pages (original and translation) are AIOSEO General settings applied?

3. Also, what is the difference between Home Title, Home Description and Home Keywords in the AIOSEO General Settings and those on the WP page editor? And why are those fields in AIOSEO automatically filled even if I delete them? Furthermore, if I have home page in original and translated version – which one does AIOSEO takes into account when applying metadata from AIOSEO General Settings? What if metadata is different from the one I filled in page editor? Which one is overridden?

4. You haven’t replied about AIOSEO bug with saving settings. I always need to update them at least twice. First I check/uncheck options I want. After updating (saving) settings my choices are lost and back to old. Then I choose them again and them maybe after second try they are saved. Sometimes I even need to do it 3 times. Why is that?

Thanks,

Lidija

Would it be a problem if I get the refund for the Pro version?

I don’t see any benefits when comparing to free version, and I had already made a donation for the free version.

Thank you,

Lidija

Hi Lidija,

I’m sorry but we do not offer refunds for All in One SEO Pack Pro.  We use an IPN (Instant Payment Notification) system for purchases and as a result our customers get a download link and license key immediately upon purchase.  This download link can be used an unlimited number of times and the License Key can be used on an unlimited number of sites.  We can’t offer refunds on a product that our customers get immediate and unlimited access to.

You can find information regarding our refund policy on our site here:  semperplugins.com/faqs.

Thanks,

Nina

Now you’re fast in responding… Reply to my first post (for support) I waited for 2 days.

Yes you could do that, If you wanted. Disable the license key and delete the download link – that way nobody will be able to use the key or link. I don’t care. I was perfectly fine with free version, now that I tried Pro. I made a donation and was happy to do it. Now it’s just frustration about wasted money for nothing.

Pro version is way too overpriced for what it offers.
