This may have been a theme conflict, as the Preview Snippet on categories for the Sahifa theme is showing url/slider/slider-name – with or without “Custom Slider” activated for noindex or “SEO on only these post types.” With Avada, it’s showing the category slug and title.
For both themes, the dropdown disappeared entirely after toggling noindex on and off for categories. This is the same on different browsers with cache cleared.

I’ve noticed an issue with the snippet – paginated tag archives are being indexed for the tags I’ve added in the snippet. Noindexing for paginated posts is working for everything else I’ve set – Categories (which I’ve set to index) and Tags (which haven’t been added to the snippet). Is there a way around this?

I’m referring to the add_filter snippet mentioned above in post #2.
I have tags set to noindex and use that snippet to allow indexing for certain tags. For those tags, paginated posts are not set to noindex, as they are for all other taxonomies. The snippet seems to be overriding noindexing entirely, so hopefully there’s a workaround.
However, I am having a separate issue with the Preview Snippet, as there is no way to control indexing for individual tags. I’m not getting the dropdown with “Default – noindex” as mentioned above in post 5 – for either tags or categories.

I’ve turned off the snippet, so it’s not indexing paginated tag pages any longer, so please let me know if this can be fixed.
I can confirm that I have noindex enabled for both paginated posts and tags:
Regarding the second point – how is a user supposed to control indexing for individual taxonomies if there’s no drop down and the only option is to noindex?
The reason I bought Pro was it promised SEO for taxonomies, but it seems to only offer title and description tags, but not control of indexing.
