Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we’re already working on for a future release. If you are interested in participating in our Beta Test program you’ll get access to new features in development ahead of their general release so that you can test and comment on these features. If you would like to participate please contact me using the form here – https://semperplugins.com/contact/
Morning Steve.
I’ve received a couple of affiliate email shots this week both singing the praises of having good Schema and EXIF data. both are bundled into a very expensive plugin, but the results are pretty awesome (if you believe the sales hype that is!).
Schema is the tiny “micro” data Google picks up to determine your site’s content (and how good it is). Unlike the Meta Data, good Schema is dynamic with your site and specific to what your content is about.
EXIF is data embedded inside your images. Google is now reading this and it is a really important glimpse into what your website is about. Sites where the EXIF data gets created nearly always outrank those that don’t.
So back in October 2013 you stated on a thread that Semper were working on adding Schema to All-In-One but nothing has happened.
Also I not in the dashboard Feature Manager that an icon has been added for Image SEO. Does this mean EXIF data Steve?
An update on both would be appreciated as I wouldn’t want to purchase another plugin if the features will be available in All-In-One.
Of course I also wouldn’t want to lose ranking ground to competitors if the enhancements were too far away!
Thanks
Nigel

This could get complicated (for me that is) but I’ll try anyway.
Thanks for response Steve but I’m very confused. Structured Data Markup using schema.org standards are one of the “in things to have” apparently and which Google is placing greater emphasis on for ranking, amongst a million other things of course.
I wasn’t really aware of the schema functionality in All-In-One but can see that data in one of my sites, but not another for some reason. So where does All-In-One pick that data up from please?
Also checking the schema.org box in General Setting means that settings are applied site wide and appear to be using a default schema type of “website” whereas there are a whole host of supported types such as Local Business (the most used one), Person, Organisation to name but three.
If you look at the site above I’d ideally like to have a Local Business schema for the majority of pages and perhaps a Person schema for the “About Me” page and maybe even “Fitness” type on some of the others. Appreciate this may mean adding code to individual pages but at least I could target a more relevant schema.
Could you just advise how I could add individual schemes to individual pages please?
For now I intend to uncheck the schema.org box in All-In-One and put the general Local Business schema code into the sidebar-footer.php so that it appears site wide. I’ll amend once I’ve got my head around the various schema types.
Can you enlighten us on any plans that you have to expand the use of Schema functionality please Steve and in what timescales?
Many thanks
Nigel

Schema.org is added under the Social Meta module in the Social Profile Links section. Google has just made some significant changes to their Schema.org support and we’re working on implementing these in All in One SEO Pack. This includes possible support for setting schema type on a per page basis.
Hi Steve.
Haven’t been “inside” AIO for many months so lost the thread of this a little but viewing page source of http://www.inaflashcouriers.co.uk which I’m optimising I don’t see any schema data.
I also don’t see any reference to Schema.org in the Social Meta section.
Schema data is an absolute must these days so I’m really struggling to see why it isn’t available.
Can we have another update please.
Thanks
Nigel

So will we see features like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/…..ta-schema/ in the next major release? That plugin makes it very easy to add the appropriate Structured Data (previously called Schema and Micro-data). Would be super nice to have in AIO.

Are you all working on a major overhaul of the UI or something? It’s been 5 FULL YEARS now and we still don’t have this feature. Makes me wonder if I need to start exploring other SEO plugins?
I feel pretty loyal to you Steve, and Michael and have been a customer/user for a long, long time now. But at some point I have to wonder if this plugin/company has stagnated and doesn’t have the innovation and motivation behind it that’s needed to keep up with SEO and marketing trends and changes? Maybe that’s how Yoast was able to jump into the lead so quickly? Just not enough of the innovative spirit and motivation going on here?
I really hate the thought of not using AiO SEO anymore, and not recommending it to people. But it just kinda feels like nothing is happening. There’s that setting conflict with my own plugin that Michael said would get fixed, yet it’s been many months and no movement whatsoever. If I ask via email, I just get told that if something happens it’ll be updated on github. And when I asked on github, I get basically the same answer. In this thread, we keep hearing it’s being worked on, but not even a release date in sight, despite the fact it’s been here for 5 years.
This thread and my plugin conflict issue (via email/github) just feels very much like “go away and leave us alone.” It’s a very stark contrast to when Michael called me after I asked some questions many years ago. I was so surprised! I’d NEVER had an online product/service just call me when I’d asked something online. That move alone (the conversation was awesome too), won me over and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. But I’m really starting to get a very different vibe lately that has none of the customer-centricity I got in the past. That combined with the slowness to add new features like this, and the fact that most releases have been fairly minor or non-helpful, leads me to really wonder if AiO is still the best option for myself and my clients…?

Hi Michael,
Thanks so much for this reply! This is exactly what I needed to hear. And I apologize if my requests for an update were annoying in any way. I totally understand what you’re saying, and try not to bother, just check in once in a while.
I look forward to 3.0 and 3.1 and especially the UI updates! As a designer, I can’t help but get excited about that stuff.
Thanks again for your prefect reply: taking responsibility, welcoming constructive criticism, and addressing my concerns. I’ll remain a loyal customer and champion of AiO and Semper Plugins.

I’m glad to see this is still in discussion.. Version 2.1 just came out, were you meaning 3.1 or 2.1 being released this fall?
It would be nice to see new features around Schema… I don’t want to use multiple plugins for that, since I paid for this one, and I also don’t want potential conflicts on my SEO
Thanks for continuing to work on improving the GUI and the Schema back end.
