Hi

I am trying to understand Canonical URL’s.

Somehow the All In One plugin became disabled and Yoast was installed and activated on my website. Don’t ask me how I have no clue.

I had thought that maybe Yoast took the plugin over and never thought about it. Soon my index pages dropped, my traffic dropped and the phone stopped ringing.

I received an offer from an SEO scoring service through Yoast so I had them print a report. They said my main page was not indexable because I had Canonical URL’s enabled and they all pointed to /Newsletters. A page I just put in a few months ago.

So I dug around and I saw All In One disabled, I deactivated Yoast and uninstalled. Next I enabled All In One and went through all the settings. My page submitted went from 108 to 420 and my indexed went from 54 to 140 within 48 hours.

I thought everything was going good and this morning I posted on Social Media and the link generated to the /newsletters page even though I only used the main url of http://www.kingrottweilers.com

I have the default settings and pretty much ran All In One straight out of the box.

Would like to know if this is functioning properly, how I can improve it and if there is someone to go through and improve my settings to make sure I am doing everything correctly, maybe a paid service.

Thank you

How do I get it so when I enter https://www.kingrottweilers.com/ into say Facebook it does not pull

https://www.kingrottweilers.com/newsletter and link to the newsletter page?

I would rather have it so all re-written urls go to https://www.kingrottweilers.com/.

No it is not in the theme. We have checked there.

It will come back every time we enable Canonical URLs: if we turn them off it goes away.

It will also go away if we enable No Pagination for Canonical URLs:

It is getting old. Every time we post a blogpage to Face book it shows a default header image and the lines Newsletter.

People think we are posting the same thing over and over.

Disable your plugin and it works normal. (well normal as I know it.)

Really need help getting this fix. I emailed you guys so let me know your price to at least get this fixed.

Thanks

Got it figured out, paid a guy $5 for a 5 minute fix. Added a couple lines of code to the functions.php of the theme to resolve a conflict between SNAP and All In One.

Thank you for your time.
