Can you provide some counsel on migrating a site from Yoast to AIO?  Is there an actual way to keep all the basic meta data or do we need to do 1:1.

Just my two cents, the link that Steve supplied works great. I’ve used it multiple times, and just used it on a WordPress 4.x site this week without issue.

Hi,

I just bought the AIO SEO plugin and I am currently using Yoast SEO. Is there somewhere that shows the proper steps to migrate from Yoast AIO? I’m not sure whether to install AIO first or delete Yoast first, etc? I list of how to migrate would be good for us newbies. Thank you. 🙂

Hi Chris

Migrating from Yoast SEO to All in One SEO Pack Pro isn’t hard at all.
You can use these steps below to migrate SEO data from Yoast SEO to All in One SEO Pack Pro.

    1. Log in to the WordPress Dashboard
    1. Make sure that All in One SEO Pack Pro is installed. Now go to Tools > SEO Data Import.
    1. Select the source where the data is coming from. In this case, select Yoast SEO.
    1. Click ‘Analyze’ to see how many records can be converted.
    1. Click ‘Convert’
    1. Check your posts/pages/… to see if your SEO data has been exported correctly.

It doesn’t matter whether Yoast SEO is installed, deactivated or deleted. The SEO data is still there.
Also, please note that we recommend you to make a backup of the site before starting the procedure of migrating Yoast SEO’s data to All in One SEO Pack Pro.

Kind regards

Arnaud

im coming over to AIO pro from yoast premium, however my concern is the 301 redirect manager yoast has which is great, the rest is not !! my question is will these redirects somehow be brought over when migrate the seo over to AIO or will i need to keep yoast running for these 301 redirects to continue to work. concerns me about conflict running both at same time… please help
