I recently purchased AIOS Pro and installed/updated it successfully on a couple of sites I manage and host. On two sites I updated when I went to activate the “Robot.txt” feature it caused the site to crash. Completely crash with no access to the site at all other than via cPanel.

Error message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@suzannefletcherinteriors.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I had my server guys investigate and they reported the following:

Upon review, there appears to be a missing declaration within your site’s .htaccess file that is causing the 500 error.

[Wed Dec 23 17:49:54 2015] [alert] [client 209.50.226.20] /home/johnt/public_html/.htaccess: Expected </IfModule> before end of configuration, referer: http://artistry-interiors.com/

This appears to occur on line 20 of the file, as there is an incorrectly formatted “</IfModule>” tag.

<IfModule mod_authz_core.c>

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress
/IfModule>

I have corrected this from my end, but there appears to be new issues around the permissions of your plugin.

Warning: require(plugin-updates/plugin-update-checker.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/johnt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack-pro/sfwd_update_checker.php on line 3

Upon review of that error, I could see that the listed file was set to 000 permissions. I have updated the permissions based on your server’s PHP handler

This has happened on two of 9 installations/updates. My server guy recommended that I alert you to this and to see if similar issues have been reported.

Please advise any corrective action you can recommend that I can report back to my server guy.
