I just purchased the All-in-one-pro plug-in (with support) and I downloaded it via the link on the checkout page. However, it didn’t download as as .zip file, so I first tried creating a zip, but got an “cannot locate error” when I went to install the plug-in.

So I then uploaded the plug-in via FTP. The manual upload worked fine until I went to activate it. Now I get a permissions error.

I thought to re-dowload the plug-in and in searching the forums it indicates the download link is on the purchase receipt. However, in checking the receipt(s) as sent from PayPal, there is no download link.

Also, I see my order number, but I don’t know if that’s my activation key.

Could you re-send the receipt with the download link and activation key?

Many thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was just composing one of my own when I got your reply and e-mail.

My apologies, I did find the original download link and key in the “other” e-mail sent directly from Semper Plugins and was able to download the plugin as a zip file. So consider that part closed.

However, when I go to install the plug-in (using an iMac) I get the following error message:

“Sorry, we can’t find the content you’re looking for at this URL. Please try selecting a menu item from above or to the side of this message to get where you’d like to go.”

Thinking it may have been a file or directory issue on my part, I tried moving the file to my desktop, but I still keep getting the same message.

I then FTP’d the unzipped plugin files to my server which appears to work OK, but when I click the link to enter in my activation key, I get the same “permissions” error as before.

I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I am operating using WP in a multi-user configuration. This generally isn’t a problem with most plug-ins.

Thanks

Success!

I figured it out while typing my last reply.

Using WPMU, the manual FTP and activation via the network administration page is working. However, to enter the activation key, I had to go to the administration page of the specific website. From there, the rest of it worked as it should.

Please let me know if there’s any other WPMU issues I should be aware of, such as entering the key for my next site (on the same WPMU server.)

Thanks again!

I’m still learning the in’s and out’s of WPMU.

What I was doing wrong was attempting to enter my activation key via the network admin page rather than the desired site’s admin page. Thus the permissions error.

However, I never could get the zip file to install. But all’s well nonetheless.

Thanks again!
