Hi,

I just installed the aioseop in my site but when I tried to use the XML sitemap option it shows me the message “There was an error connecting to the server, Please verify the settings are correct.”. How can I solve this?, I have an Amazon EC2 instance and use sftp with a private key to connect to my server.

Hi seadmin,

A couple different things could be causing this problem, we’ll need a bit more information in order to help you figure this out.

Are you able to access the XML Sitemap Module at all?  If not, are you being prompted to enter FTP login information?

Hi, thanks for your answer, this Message appears when I try to access to the “XML Sitemap” option, is in the top of the page, it looks like works correctly (see attached images) but I can see the sitemap in:

http://semanaeconomica.com/sitemap.xml

Have I to change something in the configuration?

Hi Steve,

I already had checked the Dynamically Generate Sitemap option. I just tried to uncheck the Create Compressed Sitemap box, but it didn’t work. I checked the permission to the web root too and the apache user has permission to write on it, I can’t see the problem. What do you think?

Thanks Peter,

I put your code in my functions.php and it works, the message dissapears but the url:

http://semanaeconomica.com/sitemap.xml

is still with problems… It seems that everything is ok, but definitely something is wrong…
