After buying and installing WPMQ recently, my client now reports that at least two (her and a manager) emails have not received the latest Wordpress post. I did receive the latest posts, however.

Is there a way to check that this WPMQ system works without sending a ‘test’ to the over 700 recipients? I bought the WPMQ program because the host limits the email to 500/hour.

(update) I have removed the Subscribe2 Widget that was in a sidebar, replacing with a link to a new “Subscribe” page, as I read this might have an effect on the deployment.

The site is http://www.ComoxHarbour.com.

Thanks for your description. I have the Frequency set to 350 emails once hourly, with only “Subscribe2 post notifications”

However, first of all there is an error message at the beginning of the Tools/Mail Queue page:

WPMQ Error. The wp_mail() function already exists. This is likely to be caused by another plugin.

Is this a common WP error, or would it be specifically caused by using the Plugin called “Post Page Associator”?

I need some direction as to what to do next, in plain Englsh, thank you.

@pacificwebsites,

One way to test the WPMQ side of things is to reduce the frequency of emailing in the WPMQ page (Tools->Mail Queue) and then ‘send’ an email from Subscribe2->Send Email. In the drop down on the Subscribe2->Send Email you should see a subscriber count by the side of each option. After sending visit the Mail Queue page again and see if the correct number of email is listed in the queue.

“reduce the frequency of emailing in the WPMQ page…” reduce to what?  It is set at 350/hour now. Suggestion please.

“. and then “send” an email from Subscribe2>Send Email>” Do you mean to everyone (Public Subscribers (780), or just the “Registered Subscribers (3)”???

The error message went away after I deactivated NextGEN Gallery by photocrati. This is good! Thank you.

Now I should look for a substitute for showing a slideshow, any ideas there?

Is there a way to check that all the emails will be sent without actually sending them to the 760 people?

Thanks for your clear directions, although I do have 2 more questions for clarity.

QUOTE:: “.make sure the queue isn’t due to be processed for a few minutes” END QUOTE

The program only shows when it was last processed, and how often does it process??

QUOTE: “… send a test email to…” END QUOTE

It sounds like there is a delay in starting the sending process, how long do we have to do the “check and Purge”?
