I am very new to the SEO pack, so please bare with me.

RavenTools Analyzer is telling me this

“Outgoing Links
Your Web page doesn’t appear to be using the rel=”nofollow” anchor attribute. It’s important to use this attribute for outgoing links that you cannot verify, are not related to the content of your Web page, and/or link to Web pages with low PageRank. Otherwise, search engines may penalize your Web page for links they deem to be untrustworthy.”

This tell me I have outbound links going to various sites that need the NoFollow.

I am confused on a few points.

How do I know which sites I should put a no follow? The site I am building is PaintballTech.net. There are TONS of outbound links on there because I am making a directory of all the Paintball Fields int he world, let alone gear and manufacturing updates. Its a news and information site. The outbound links are all legit links across many many pages.

If I do need to be concerned with this, is there a way for me to do a NO FOLLOW with ALL IN ONE SEO or am I doing this manually with ROBOTS.TXT

thanks!
Jason

Appreciate the details.
Ok, so generally speaking I want to put NO FOLLOW on any link going outside of my site. I am assuming it does not matter for sites linking to me?

I cannot imagine doing this on every single post, page, etc, even with a CMS system like wordpress. Clearly a plug in would be ideal as you mentioned. Do any particular one come to mind?

Thank you
Jason

Hi,

First of all, All in One SEO Pack currently does not have a way to set rel=”nofollow” on links. This is something you have to do in the HTML editor of a post or page.

The general guidance is that having the follow attribute set on external links is bad because you are sharing your SEO ranking with any site you link to. Therefore, it is best to set nofollow on all outbound links. There is a list of plugins here that may help you – http://codex.wordpress.org/Nofollow
