Hello, my name is Kevin. First let me say thank you for creating this awesome plugin and the Pro version is well worth the price!

I live in Wasilla Alaska and just finished this website.

http://www.backcountrywarriors.com/

I would appreciate it if one of you gurus would look at it closely and tell me what’s right and wrong with my SEO. I would like to get it on the first page of a google search when potential clients search for “Snowmobile Tours Alaska”. I JUST finished it 2 days ago and to the best of my knowledge google has only crawled it once. I might be interested in hiring you guys to optimize the site for me. Thank you in advance for any input!

Hey Steve, couple questions. First. Thank you for the amazing job you did on the audit of my website. I learned TONS! I am actively implementing the changes you have recommended.

My Question. My home page. I am desperately trying to get my site to come up on or close to the first page on google when someone searches for “Snowmobile Tours Alaska”. One thing I have noticed is my Site title is an H1 tag. You explained that to me and I understand. However, thanks to google the site title is NOT what I named it. It seems google picked my site title for me. My question is this. Would it be beneficial to remove my site title H1 Tag and use it on the post title instead? If not that will I hurt myself by having the site title AND the post titles an H1 tag? On all of the important pages on my site, when I do a google search my pages come up on the first page if not at the top. But the most important page being of course my home page, I show up 5 pages back and I don’t think its due to stiff competition as the sites I am competing against are pretty horrible and don’t look optimized as well as mine for SEO. I would really appreciate your input on this. Thanks in advance!

Hey Steve,

Got another question for you. I am building a new website for a client. They currently have one here.

http://www.arrowheadoutfitters.com/

This is the new one. Not finished But hoping to go live to the public in the next couple weeks. I have deliberately not set any site titles or H1 tags until it gets done and we go live with it. I don’t want it to show up in searches until I am done with it.

http://www.arrowheadoutfitters.us

I registered a different domain name and am building the new website under that. When its finished I will point the site to the .com therefore getting rid of the old one completely. My questions is this. Will Google penalize my for having two sites with the same content on them? In other words, can I Go ahead and finish the new site, get it indexed right next to the old one so as not to lose their ranking before the old one goes away? Any advice on the best way to proceed would be appreciated. Also, I am going to upgrade them to the Pro Pack and they are very open to having an audit done so hopefully will be contacting you soon about that. Thanks in advance!

VERY glad I talked to you. I will follow your recommendations to the letter. This is a million dollar a year business and I am taking this very serious. The people are awesome and will do an audit if I recommend one. They want to do whatever it takes to keep their ranking high and recover those rankings as quick as possible when the new site goes live. Thank you for your speedy reply and I will be in touch soon! Thanks Steve!

OK Steve,

A couple more questions. I can’t do Google analytics until I move the new site to the .com Domain correct?

Also, on the new site. My home page site title is not an H1 tag. I know you said on the audit for my website that you added code somewhere so that the site title would show up as an H1. Do I need this or can my H1 tag be in the Text Field? If I need the site title to be an H1, is there some instructions somewhere you can point me to in how to do this? I am not opposed to just having you do it when I have the audit done but I am not learning anything that way and for future reference I would like to know.

 Thanks Steve!
