I created a custom post type that is domain.com/rubber-grommets

that is the “archive” page, and all “posts” in that custom post type go to domain.com/rubber-grommets/my-post

However, I cannot find how to change the META data and title for ‘/rubber-grommets’ — I have tried excluding /rubber-grommet/ and /rubber-grommet and hard-coding the meta data and title, but this does not work.

Hi tbates,

You can change the archive format for archive pages, but this will affect all archive pages including custom post types. There also is a noindex option for archive pages to let you choose whether or not they get indexed; past that there is no other meta data that you can set for an archive page, other meta data gets set on the posts linked from the archive page.
