I am trying to control a custom taxonomy page just like I do a normal page or post, setting the titles, keywords, description for each category, if i choose.

I just purchased pro because it said Custom Taxonomy support. I get there’s “filters”, but I want SPECIFIC meta data for SPECIFIC categories without having to pretty much write my own plugin.

Hi tbates

AIOSEOP currently does not generate metadata for categories. However, there are plugins that do, such as the Category Meta Plugin that you should be able to integrate with AIOSEOP. For example, you should be able to filter the single_cat_title hook to add custom meta data for category titles into AIOSEOP using something like:

function sfwd_set_category_title( $title ) {

if (function_exists(‘get_terms_meta’)) {
$category_id = get_queried_object_id();

if (!$category_id) return $title;
$title = get_terms_meta($category_id, ‘title’);

if ( is_array($title) ) $title = $title[0];

return $title;

add_filter(‘single_cat_title’, ‘sfwd_set_category_title’);

Let us know if this is what you’re looking for.
