So it appears that Google has updated their search algorithm? This is what I was told. In any case, the problem I am having is that the description I am using through All In One SEO pro is not showing up in Google any more. It does show up in Bing and Yahoo, but apparently Google is now just taking a random section of text from the home page and using it as the description for my home page. Subsequently, my website went from first or second page search results to about page 30 or 40 in Google. I feel like if I could get my description to show up with the proper text, it would make my site much more searchable. Has All In One had any other feedback with the Description field not working recently? I tried hard coding in a description in my header field, but this didn’t change what I saw in Google. Here’s the site link:

I am also getting this message from the Google Webmaster tools:

We do not detect any structured data on your site.
Structured data helps Google understand the content on your site, which can be used to display rich snippets in search results.

Is this related to my description problem?

My website recently vanished from Google searches. No idea why. My google webmaster report says I show up on page 100 of search results. You can view the source code for my page – all of the relevant keywords are there that I am trying to use for people to find me. I run a rock climbing business, and I need people to find my business when they google “rock climbing, joshua Tree, guide”

Thanks,

Nelson
