Just upgraded the pro plugin on a site, and now the sitemap is generating a blank file.
If I click on ‘view sitemap’ it gives me this URL:
http://www.shopsupercars.com/sitemap.xml
But the sitemap is blank. I’ve set the sitemap back to defaults, click update multiple times…still the same thing.
Any ideas appreciated!

Update on this – this morning I disabled most all of my JetPack options. About the only thing I have enabled is the sharing feature.
I clicked update on the sitemap and it gave me one, but then I went to Google Webmaster Tools and resubmitted – error. No sitemap, so I went back to the URL, it was gone again.
Never had this happen on a WordPress site. It’s generating and then not generating. Is there a way to make the sitemap kick out an actual file so it’s consistent?

Okay, the problem was on my end. One of my servers didn’t have the right permissions. Steve, thanks for pointing that out.
I fixed this by signing via SSH and using the following commands:
Those gave my Apache user the rights it needed. BOOYAH! Site maps working.
